All of the Wrangler 4xe models are powered by two electric motors and a turbocharged 2.0L gas engine that delivers 375 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft of torque. Running solely on electricity, the 4xe has a range of 21 miles, while its hybrid range is 370.
2. Flexible Charging Options
You can charge the Wrangler 4xe with either the 120-volt Level I charger or the 240-volt Level II charger. The Level I charger will fully charge the 4xe’s battery in 12 hours, while the Level II charger takes less than three hours.
3. Advanced Safety and Driver Assistance Features
The new Wrangler 4xe features a robust suite of safety and driver assistance features. To boost visibility, Automatic High-Beam Headlamps turn off and on based on approaching vehicles and inclement weather, such as heavy rain or fog. Adaptive Cruise Control helps drivers maintain a safe distance with the vehicle ahead, while also reducing driver fatigue as it automatically brakes and accelerates.
Additional safety features include Blind Spot Monitoring and the ParkSense Rear Park Assist System, which can help you navigate tight parking spaces with ease.
4. Impressive Towing Capacity
You’ll be able to haul up to 3,500 lbs with the Wrangler 4xe, allowing you to transport watercraft, haul camping gear, and tow trailers full of cargo. Similar to its towing capability, the 4xe has an option for a factory-installed WARN winch capable of pulling 8,000 lbs.
5. Versatile Infotainment System
The 4xe’s infotainment system provides exceptional connectivity for outdoor enthusiasts. The 12.3-inch Uconnect touchscreen display puts your favorite media and entertainment apps at your fingertips, while the available Off-Road Pages+ package seamlessly integrates Adventure Guides and GPS Trail Logs with the 4xe’s infotainment system.
Thanks to the 4xe’s 4G LTE WiFi hotspot, up to eight people can stay connected to the web.
6. Enhanced Off-road Capability
The Wrangler 4xe stays true to its off-roading roots. You can split the torque equally between the front and rear axles to improve traction, and because of the 4xe’s high water intake, it can cross creeks and streams up to 34 inches deep without a problem. Additionally, the 4xe has some of the best ground clearance in its class, ensuring obstacles such as rocks and logs don’t stop the adventure.
