Jeep Wagoneer hauling a trailer

The Wagoneer makes a bold statement on the streets of Durant. Dominating the front is a striking seven-slot black grille with a bright surround, highlighted on either side by LED headlights and daytime running lights. Body-colored bumpers and 18-inch satin-carbon painted wheels lend the exterior a rugged appearance, while the gloss black-heated mirrors with integrated turn signals are both stylish and practical.

Luxurious Interior

Luxury awaits when you enter the Wagoneer. Capri-leather upholstery, a cloth headliner, and carpeting give the interior a sophisticated feel. The front seats are heated and ventilated to provide warmth or coolness at the touch of a button. Drivers receive an eight-way power seat with four-way lumbar support, a heated tilt and telescoping leather-wrapped steering wheel, and power-adjustable pedals, allowing them to configure the cockpit for ultimate comfort.

Tri-zone automatic climate control with voice-activated air conditioning keeps the cabin at the optimum temperature, and passengers can adjust the settings in the back thanks to HVAC controls located towards the rear.

Unique Features

Unrivalled Power

Under the hood, the Wagoneer hides a 3.0-liter Hurricane twin-turbo engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. This powerful combination produces 420 horsepower and 468 pound-feet of torque, giving this SUV the ability to tow a trailer, camper, or boat weighing up to 6,120 pounds.

Spacious and Flexible Cargo Area

The interior is amazingly spacious, with everyone having plenty of room to stretch out. First-row occupants receive 40.9 inches of legroom, while those in the second row have a very roomy 42.7 inches.

Even with the generous space in the cabin, Jeep still manages to give the Wagoneer a 27.7 cubic feet cargo area. In addition to expanding this area by folding the third row at the touch of a button, you can also collapse the second row to increase the storage capacity to 116.7 cubic feet.

Advanced Tech

Jeep’s Uconnect 5 system provides the infotainment. At its center is a customizable 10.1-inch touchscreen with integrated navigation, giving you access to 2D and 3D maps. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto let you connect your smartphone and access your favorite apps, contacts, music, and podcasts.

Jeep has also equipped the Wagoneer with the latest driver-assist technologies to enhance the driving experience. Forward collision warning, blind-spot detection, and advanced brake assist help improve safety, while front and rear sensors make parking easier.

Family adventures await when you choose the new Wagoneer. To find out more and experience everything this standout Jeep has to offer, visit Freedom Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT by Ed Morse in Durant, OK today.

Back view of Yellow Dodge Hornet

Powerful Engine

The compact Hornet comes with an engine designed for a much larger vehicle, giving it its signature swiftness and robust performance. Under the hood is a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four that generates an astounding 268 HP and 295 pound-feet of torque. This powerhouse propels the Hornet from 0 to 60 in just 6 seconds and offers a remarkable towing capacity of up to 2,000 pounds.

There’s also a plug-in hybrid powertrain for those seeking eco-friendly efficiency and power. This advanced setup combines a turbocharged 1.3-liter inline-four engine with a 15.5 kWh lithium-ion battery, unleashing up to 288 HP and 383 lb-ft of torque, allowing the Hornet a 0 to 60 time of only 5 seconds. Moreover, with its 32-mile all-electric range, you’ll be running errands without using a drop of gas, and when you do, one tank will take you up to 360 miles!

Powerful Performance

Dodge vehicles are renowned for outperforming the competition, and the Hornet is no exception. For starters, every Hornet comes standard with all-wheel drive, providing unmatched traction, stability, and control for a more dynamic and exhilarating driving experience. The speed-sensing rack-and-pinion steering system offers exceptional precision and responsiveness, while the smooth shifts of the 9-speed automatic transmission are incredibly satisfying.

The Hornet’s rewarding nature doesn’t stop there. A brake-actuated limited-slip differential, along with front and rear anti-roll bars, allows the Hornet to weave through corners with remarkable accuracy and confidence. The stopping power is exceptional thanks to available Brembo performance brakes. The MacPherson strut suspension system, featuring coil springs, gas-pressurized shock absorbers, and optional adjustable suspension dampers, ensures a ride quality that rivals that of a VIP-class vehicle.

Spacious and Comfortable Interior

With nearly 100 cubic feet of passenger volume, the Hornet comfortably accommodates five adults, making it an excellent choice for small families. It also offers ample cargo space, providing 27 cubic feet behind the rear seats and expanding to a generous 52 cubic feet when the 60/40 split folding rear bench seat is flattened out.

The Hornet’s cabin rivals that of a luxury vehicle, especially in higher trims that boast upmarket amenities such as premium leather upholstery, a sunroof, heated and ventilated power-adjustable seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, built-in navigation, and a 14-speaker Harman Kardon premium sound system.

Schedule Annual Transmission Inspections

Schedule a transmission inspection yearly with one of our certified Jeep technicians, who have in-depth knowledge of your vehicle. The technician will conduct a diagnostic test and a comprehensive inspection to evaluate the condition and performance of your transmission.

Regularly Flush the Transmission Fluid

Transmission fluid lubricates and cools the gears while preventing corrosion. With use, it deteriorates primarily due to heat and becomes less effective. When the transmission fluid is old and contaminated, the numerous moving transmission components may overheat, which can cause them to fail. We recommend a transmission fluid flush every 30,000 miles for proper protection.

Replace the Transmission Filter

The transmission filter will also be replaced when the technician flushes the fluid. The transmission filter collects contaminants such as dirt and debris, preventing them from harming the transmission components. Over time, the contaminants can build up and clog the filter, causing restricted fluid flow, inadequate cooling, and overheating, which can result in severe damage.

Perform Transmission Fluid Checks

Regularly check your Jeep’s transmission fluid levels and consistency. Fresh transmission fluid is bright red, sweet-smelling, and syrupy. However, when it turns murky, brown, and thick, it’s old and contaminated. The cause of the contamination could be due to a dirty and clogged transmission filter.

If you notice the transmission fluid is low, it could indicate a leak. It’s best to have your Jeep technician repair the leak, flush the fluid, and replace the filter promptly to prevent further damage.

Allow Your Jeep To Warm Up

Before you drive your Jeep, let it idle for a few minutes, especially in colder winter weather. Transmission fluid becomes thicker in low temperatures, and allowing the fluid to warm up ensures proper flow and adequate lubrication of the transmission components.

Handle Your Gears With Care

When driving your Jeep, use your gears with care to avoid straining the transmission which will cause damage. If you drive a Jeep with an automatic transmission, come to a complete stop before shifting into park or switching from reverse to drive. If your Jeep is a manual, avoid aggressive gear shifts, skipping gears, and improper clutch engagement to prevent unnecessary wear and damage.

Have your transmission checked by a certified Jeep technician, keep an eye on the fluid, and drive your Jeep with care. To help you keep your transmission in excellent condition, call Freedom Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT By Ed Morse in Durant, OK, today for a professional service by Jeep experts.

Off-roading has the potential to push your Jeep to its limits. Working through a checklist means you don’t overlook any important maintenance tasks. This saves you from a potential breakdown and protects you from costly repairs. Here’s everything you need to check:

Fluids and Filters

Regular oil changes are essential for engine health in general, but there’s no better time than a pre-road trip to check your car’s oil for consistency and color. Be sure to change it according to your Jeep’s recommended maintenance schedule. While you’re there, check your differential fluids, transfer case fluid, and air filters. A clean air filter improves airflow to the engine, providing better power and fuel efficiency.

Shock Absorbers

Worn shock absorbers can lead to excessive bouncing, which can make it difficult to control your Jeep and potentially damage other suspension parts. Have your shocks checked for leaks or damage, and consider replacing them if they’re nearing the end of their lifespan.

Tires and Wheels

The three things you can’t neglect are tire pressure, tread depth, and wheel alignment. Off-roading can be tough on your tires, and worn tires don’t help with traction control. If need be, replace your tires before you head off and ensure your wheels are properly aligned to improve handling and decrease wear and tear.

Fix Brakes at a Jeep Dealer

Bringing your vehicle into a dealership means you’re in the best possible hands to get your vehicle running (and stopping) smoothly. Make sure your brake pads have enough life left in them and ask your technician to inspect your rotors for warping or excessive wear. While you’re there, have your brake fluid levels checked and replaced if necessary.

Light up the Trail

Functional lights are key for property safety, especially since off-roading can come with limited visibility. Check your headlights, taillights, and turn signals, and replace any burned-out bulbs. Consider installing additional off-road lights for improved nighttime visibility. You can have these installed on the front of the roof of your Jeep.

By following this checklist and working with qualified professionals, you can ensure your Jeep is ready for any off-road adventure. Get in touch with us today at Freedom Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram FIAT Service, OK to schedule a service and let us help you get off-road ready.

Hard-Hitting Power

The Cherokee comes with several potent powertrain options to suit different purposes and power demands. Standard is the high-octane 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 that produces a whopping 293 ponies and up to 260 lb-ft of torque, which is top-tier power for this weight class. It is incredibly efficient, too, with an excellent fuel economy of up to 26 MPG on the highway.

And for all of you PHEV lovers, you’ll be glad to know there’s a powerful hybrid engine producing up to 375 HP and 470 lb-ft of torque for a quick 0 to 60 of only 5 seconds. Moreover, its next-level 56 MPGe allows it to give you up to 470 miles of range on a single tank of gas. There’s also a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 generating 375 HP and 390 lb-ft of torque to allow you an astounding towing capacity of up to 7,200 pounds!

Excellent Handling and Ride Quality

The 2024 Cherokee offers an incredibly plush ride while being easy and fun to drive. The smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic coupled with a highly precise and agreeable rack-pinion power steering with lots of feedback give the Cherokee the riding dynamics and maneuverability of a much smaller car, while the multi-link suspension system ensures it has enough flex to absorb bumps with ease. Higher trims enjoy adaptive air suspension for a soft and pleasant ride.

Like every other Jeep, however, the Cherokee is truly at home when off-roading. Available with up to 10.9 inches of ground clearance, a water-fording depth of up to 24 inches, a disconnecting sway bar for extreme wheel articulation, an electronic limited-slip rear differential for supreme traction, all-terrain tires, skid plates, a night-vision camera, and even off-road cruise control, the Cherokee is a cut above its peers when things become rugged.

Luxurious Cabin

The Cherokee offers you a nice, comfy interior to enjoy its awesome capabilities. It can come with quilted leather upholstery with open-pore wood trim, heated and ventilated front seats with massage function, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel with controls, wireless charging, a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a premium 19-speaker McIntosh surround-sound system for rich sounds.

Pick Your Power Plant

With two big-block motors on offer, there’s plenty of horsepower and torque in any Ram 2500 on the market. Gasoline-driven 2500s are driven by the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine, offering 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque to not only get the job done, but to do it in style. HEMI-driven capability maxes out with a towing capacity of 17,730 pounds and a maximum payload of 4,000 pounds when properly configured, making this one mighty motor.

But hold on to your horsepower because that isn’t the only engine on offer. Step up to diesel and reap the rewards; the 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel offers even more capability. With up to 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque, the Cummins motor has the muscle to move up to 3,150 pounds of payload or a staggering 19,990 pounds of trailer when properly equipped. Offering both gas and diesel options lets the 2500 integrate seamlessly into almost any commercial fleet.

Good and Quiet

Just because the Ram 2500 is fully capable of roaring down the road with tons in tow doesn’t mean you should have to hear it in the cabin. The Interior Active Noise Cancellation System helps you tune out the world outside so you can focus on the tunes you choose to cruise to. And with the available 17-speaker, 900-watt Harman Kardon Premium Audio System, you can turn those tunes up pretty loud indeed.
In fact, the interior is one of the high points of the Ram 2500 regardless of which trim you choose. The vinyl seats in the entry-level Tradesman are comfortable and adjustable, with plenty of legroom in both rows in the crew cab configuration. But upgrading to higher trims has its rewards, with full leather seating and genuine wood trim available at the upper end of the range, and SuperCab configurations offer even more legroom for back-row crew members.

With so much in the way of capability and a comfortable interior that can almost make you forget you’re on the job, there’s a lot to love about the Ram 2500. But perhaps the most important thing can only be had in person: the feeling of raw power when the motor kicks in and the 2500 revs to life. So schedule your test drive today at Freedom Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Durant, OK, and experience it for yourself.

The Seating

The seven-passenger minivan comes with cloth seating and an excellent front row, where both seats are heated. The driver’s seat is easy to get comfortable in thanks to eight-way direction controls. The seat also has lumbar support with four-way power-adjustable controls. The heated steering wheel is wrapped in leatherette, and includes controls for the cruise control and sound system.

Your second-row and third-row passengers can access the back using power sliding side doors. In the second row, your passengers will enjoy a generous 39 inches of legroom. Passengers in the third row will have 36.5 inches of legroom.

The Cargo Space

The Pacifica is well-designed for families with a lot of cargo. In the second row, you’ll have in-floor storage bins for extra space, allowing you to better organize small items. You’ll also have 32.3 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the third-row seats.

When you need to maximize your cargo volume, you can fold down the second and third-row seats. The second and third-row seats come with a feature called Stow ‘N Go, making it easy to fold the seats into the floor of the minivan.

The Infotainment System

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integrations are standard features that make connecting your smartphone to your Pacifica’s infotainment system an easy task. You’ll then be able to see your familiar smartphone apps populate your beautiful 10.1-inch touchscreen. This system also comes with Chrysler’s easy-to-use Uconnect 5 software, a system that allows you to easily personalize the home screen.

The Pacifica comes with six speakers well-placed throughout the minivan. Bluetooth technology allows you to connect up to two devices to your Pacifica at once, so you can stream your favorite audio on your next family road trip.

The Driver Assistance Features

Your family’s minivan includes great driver assistance features for enhanced safety, including automated emergency braking, pedestrian detection, and blind spot monitoring. High-Pitched Squeaking Sounds

Almost all pads these days are designed with a tiny metal tab that becomes uncovered when the friction layer is almost finished. This tab scrapes harmlessly against the rotor, generating a high-pitched squeaking or squealing sound. If you hear prolonged squeaking whenever you brake, it’s probably time for a new pad.

Metallic Grinding Noises

The friction layer of a braking pad can’t do much damage to a rotor disc. But if the friction layer wears away entirely, only the metal casing of the pad will be left. When this metal casing scrapes directly against the rotor, it will damage the rotor while also generating less stopping force. This will usually create an alarming grinding sound.

Very Thin-Looking Pads

In most cars, you can look through the spokes of each wheel to visually inspect the pads. If the friction layer appears to be less than a quarter of an inch thick, it might be time for a new pad.

Strange Rhythmic Vibrations

When a rotor disc becomes damaged by a worn-out pad or the braking pad malfunctions in another way, you might feel a pulsating vibration through the brake pedal whenever you use it. If you feel odd pedal vibrations, it’s best to ask a technician to take a look.

Reduced Stopping Power

The only job of braking pads is to effectively slow and stop your car. So if you ever sense that your brakes are weakening and taking longer to slow you down, pull over and check the condition of your pads. It might be the case that they’ve overheated, which can melt the compound in a pad’s friction layer, releasing a tiny amount of gas that reduces friction.

Pulling to One Side When Braking

When a braking pad at the front of a car malfunctions, stopping power is usually weakened only on that side of the car. This can sometimes cause the vehicle to pull to one side when the brakes are applied. If this happens, you’ll probably need a technician to diagnose the problem.

Visit Freedom Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT By Ed Morse in Durant, OK to have your brakes inspected and repaired. Our family owned and operated dealership has been helping out the region’s drivers for over 75 years.

Jeep Oil Change near Durant, OK

Regular maintenance will help to keep your Jeep in perfect condition. As time passes, parts will age or become damaged, which affects your Jeep’s performance. As your Jeep dealer, we have a wide range of services to enable it to always perform at its best. These are some of the types of Jeep maintenance we provide.

Oil Change

Oil is as vital for your engine as blood is for the body. Oil is pumped through the engine and additives inside break down potential blockages before they form and absorb dirt and rust particles to keep the engine clean. The viscous oil surrounds many engine components with a protective coating to reduce friction damage.

Over time, the oil slowly degrades and becomes thicker and slower due to the dirt and other particles it absorbs. Older oil is less effective at preventing friction, which increases engine wear and tear. During an oil change, we drain the old oil, then we replace the used oil filter. We install a new filter to enable the oil to flow freely, and we’ll refill your engine with high-quality oil.

Battery Testing

Any driver who’s experienced a dead battery knows it is one of the most frustrating and annoying experiences. The battery is essential to providing the electricity that starts your engine. Unfortunately, it has a relatively short life. Your battery will gradually weaken as the chemicals that enable it to supply, store, and recharge electricity slowly break down.

We can give you a heads-up on your battery’s current health and potential future life. We do this by connecting your battery to our battery tester. This machine will analyze your battery’s strengths and possible weaknesses. If your battery is healthy, we advise retesting it in one year. If your battery is failing, we can install a new one for you in minutes.

Tune-Up

A tune-up focuses on your ignition system and related components. A problem with any of these components can result in misfiring, stalling, or your engine refusing to start. During a tune-up, we examine the spark plugs and wires and check the condition of the ignition coils. The coils provide the additional power to allow the spark plugs to ignite the fuel-air mixture and produce combustion. We also remove and replace damaged plugs or coils.

We check your coolant level and its condition to see if it’s working effectively to control the engine temperature. Our technicians will also remove and replace your engine air filter, cabin air filter, and fuel filter. When you drive home, you’ll notice an immediate improvement in your Jeep’s performance.

These are only a handful of the many services that we offer. Contact our service department today at Freedom CDJRF By Ed Morse in Durant, OK to book your service.
